●日本リードオルガン協会関東支部例会が当資料室で開催されました：
● A regular meeting of the Kanto Chapter of the Japan Reed Organ Association was held at our Archives:
２０２６年４月１７日（金）当資料室にて、当室プロジェクトチームメンバーの相田南穂子氏の企画により、日本リードオルガン協会関東支部の第５回例会『木岡英三郎 音楽への愛と情熱』が開催され、当資料室長・木岡完造及び同協会顧問・赤井励氏による講演と、室内資料の見学及びリードオルガンの試奏が行われました。定員を超える申込みの中、完造室長は「木岡英三郎の思い出」として英三郎氏と過ごした日々を、これまで未公開だったエピソードとともに振り返り、赤井顧問は、昭和２年日本青年館での「木岡英三郎主催 第一回バッハ（再興）演奏会」について、その遺されたプログラムから、当時として実現不可能に思える出演者構成とそれを可能にしたであろう同氏の人脈や舞台裏を紐解きました。
またリードオルガン演奏家のみならず、同年公開の映画「風琴」登場の和久井家をはじめとするリードオルガン修復技術者や英三郎氏と直接親交のあった方々が遠方から参集し、多くの考察や思い出を時を忘れて分かち合いました。
On Friday, April 17, 2026, the Kanto Chapter of the Japan Reed Organ Association held its fifth regular meeting at our archives—an event organized by our project team member, Ms. Nahoko Aida—titled "Eizaburo Kioka: Love and Passion for Music." The program featured lectures by our Archive Director, Kanzo Kioka, and Society Advisor, Mr. Rei Akai, followed by a viewing of the collection and opportunities to play our reed organs. Receiving applications exceeding the event's capacity, Director Kioka shared "Memories of Eizaburo Kioka," reflecting on the time he spent with Eizaburo and recounting previously untold anecdotes. Meanwhile, Advisor Akai discussed the "First Bach (Revival) Concert Organized by Eizaburo Kioka," held at the Nippon Seinenkan Hall in 1927; drawing on the surviving program, he analyzed the lineup of performers—which seemed impossible to assemble at the time—and shed light on the personal connections and behind-the-scenes efforts that likely made the event a reality.
In addition to reed organ performers, people gathered from far and wide—including members of the Wakui family (featured in the film *Fūkin*, released that same year), reed organ restoration specialists, and individuals who had enjoyed a personal friendship with Mr. Eizaburo—to share their insights and memories, losing all track of time.
●「木岡英三郎生誕１３０年記念イベント」が盛況のうちに開催されました：
● "Eizaburo Kioka 130th Anniversary Event" Held with Great Success:
２０２５年３月２２日（土）、当資料室に於いて日本オルガン研究会主催による「木岡英三郎生誕１３０年記念例会」が開催され、オルガニストであり日本近代オルガン史研究者でもある千田寧子博士の講演・演奏に、定員を上回る国内オルガニスト、オルガン研究の第一線の方々が参集されました。
英三郎氏の甥で当資料室長・木岡完造氏の挨拶に始まり、貴重な一次資料の実物に囲まれながら、大変熱のこもった当室保存の資料群の整理・分析の現状発表と、その作業内で今回初めて発見された英三郎氏作曲と思われる作品の室内パイプオルガンによるデモンストレーション演奏が行われ、質疑応答と資料の自由閲覧では、参加者それぞれのご専門に応じた終わりのないディスカッションで時間を大幅にオーバーする反響が得られました。
今後本格化してゆく室内資料の全アーカイブ化に向けて、大変有意義で重要な機会となりました。
On Saturday, March 22, 2025, the "Eizaburo Kioka 130th Anniversary Meeting"—organized by the Japan Organ Society—was held at our archives. The event featured a lecture and performance by Dr. Yasuko Chida, an organist and researcher specializing in the history of the modern Japanese organ. Attendance exceeded capacity, drawing organists and leading figures in the field of organ research from across the country.
The event opened with remarks from Mr. Kanzo Kioka—Eizaburo’s nephew and the director of our Archives. Surrounded by rare primary source materials, the program included a passionate presentation on the current status of organizing and analyzing the collection, as well as a demonstration performance on a chamber pipe organ of a previously unknown composition believed to be by Eizaburo Kioka. During the Q&A and free viewing sessions, the event generated such enthusiastic engagement—with participants diving into endless discussions tailored to their respective areas of expertise—that the proceedings ran well beyond the scheduled time.
It was a highly meaningful and significant occasion as we prepare to ramp up the comprehensive archiving of the materials held here.
