●資料室内展示の英三郎氏の愛用していたカワイ社製リードオルガン（推定昭和初期製造）が修復・音再現されました：

 

● The Kawai reed organ (estimated to have been manufactured in the early Showa period) once cherished by Mr. Eizaburo—on display at our Archive—has been restored, and its sound has been revived:

オルガン修理師・日比野四郎氏の申し出により２０２６年５月より無償で同氏工房にて修復していただいていた、英三郎氏愛用のカワイ社製リードオルガン（本修復作業によりリードはドイツ・ハルモーラ社製と判明）が同年７月６日、無事再搬入されました。

英三郎氏の激しい練習によりついた鍵盤上の傷や風貌はそのままに、風袋やペダルベルトなどの大幅修繕や、往時氏が聴いていたであろう音に限りなく近く再現するための慎重なリード調整を含むオーバーホールとなり、これまで音の出なかった当資料室のこの重要な史器の試奏や、これを使用した再現演奏会が可能となりました。

日比野氏はまた、この２ヶ月に亘る修復工程の詳細を写真付きで記録した解説本をまとめてくれており、資料室ではその内容も楽器とともに一般への展示を開始しました。

​通常の資料室見学ご予約により、どなたでも試奏が可能です。また今後、室内の遺残演奏譜の研究結果などと併せた追悼・再現演奏会も企画してゆく予定です。

 

​The Kawai reed organ cherished by Mr. Eizaburo—which had been undergoing restoration free of charge at the workshop of organ restorer Mr. Shiro Hibino since May 2026—was safely returned on July 6 of the year. (The restoration process revealed that the instrument's reeds were manufactured by the German company Harmola.) The overhaul preserved the scratches and physical character on the keyboard resulting from Mr. Eizaburo’s intense practice sessions, while incorporating major repairs to components such as the bellows and pedal belts, as well as meticulous reed adjustments to recreate—as closely as possible—the sound he would have heard in his day. These improvements have made it possible to play and demonstrate this important historical instrument, which had previously been silent, and to hold recitals that recreate the music of that era. Mr. Hibino also compiled a detailed, illustrated booklet documenting the two-month restoration process; the Archive has now begun displaying this material to the public alongside the instrument itself. Anyone may try playing the organ by making a standard reservation to visit our Archive. We also plan to organize memorial concerts in the future, incorporating research findings based on his left sheet music.​​​​​​​​​​​​
